A good part of the rug manufacturing time is spent by preparing the material (silk or wool) to be used. Before knotting a carpet, the weaver prepares its materials – wool or silk. The wool used is important as it affects the touch and feel of the final rug – and its quality.
As you know, we travel frequently across Central Asia, Middle-East and Asia to find the best quality handmade rugs, soumaks and suzanis.
What matters to us is to meet the weavers behind the scene, the people involved in rug making.
